Decluttering Services London Overview
We have provided a professional organising service in London as well as a decluttering service in London and many surrounding areas for over ten years now. Our work is a serious profession and we consider ourselves to be experts in the field. You may find a decluttering service near you, but please do ask if we will travel to your location, because we frequently travel all over the UK (and abroad) for our clients.
As Professional Declutterers/Organisers, we offer a large list of services, which cover many areas of the home in many ways. To understand what we do, take a look at the below list and decide whether you need a decluttering service or perhaps help designing bespoke furniture with our declutter consultant services.
General Declutter London
Many of our clients don’t know where to start when it comes to organising their homes, but that’s what we’re here for. We often speak to clients who simply do not have the head space to think about where to begin.
We aim to take away the stress and put your mind at ease. We can take as much or as little control as you need.
We can discuss and pre-plan before the booking or make the decisions on the day when we have had a show round with you. Both methods work very well.
We can help you clear small spaces such as cupboards, wardrobes and paperwork, but we can also assist with clearing larger living spaces, kitchens and whole homes too.
Maybe you feel a virtual consultation would work for you? Please do get in touch to find out more about how this works.
Decluttering Consultations London
We have some clients who prefer to have time with Vicky at their homes to discuss what needs doing and to gain storage advice from her. These clients are happy to do the decluttering themselves, but wish to get inspiration and ideas in order to then implement it.
This could be some help regarding some new wardrobes or piece of fitted furniture, it could include storage recommendations for any area of the home. Vicky can also suggest tweaks that can be made to already exciting storage if she thinks that would help. Please feel free to ask for an initial enquiry call with Vicky, so she can tell you more. This service is a minimum of 2 hours onsite.
Moving Home and Renovations London
We provide several services which help our clients when they are moving home. We let them know what we can do and they choose what suits them best, almost like picking from a shopping list.
- A decluttering service prior to the move
This is often done in the weeks leading up to the move, so that you are not transporting belongings to your new house which you no longer want and would then have to deal with (causing more headspace, work and paying more money to move them anyway)
- A packing service
We professionally pack for clients who would prefer our team to get familiar with how they like things done and where they keep things, especially if we are then unpacking in the new house.
- An unpacking service
We unpack our clients homes organising as we go. So many people unpack their homes in a rush placing things in impractical positions with the intention to go back to them in the future. They find themselves years later still not having changed anything, mainly through lack of time. It’s a big job. So we ensure things are in the correct and most efficient and practical places from day one.
Working as a Professional Declutterer / Organiser for over ten years, I have learnt so much about how to take the stress away from my clients when they are moving. When moving home is described as one of the most stressful life experiences, I feel like I am here to tell people that this does not have to be the case.
Some of our clients aren’t even present throughout the process and decide to talk a holiday only to return, put the key in the door of their new home to a full unpacked and organised space. This is one of my favourites things about being a Professional Declutterer / Organiser!
*Please see the main moving and home renovations section in our services menu for more detail on this service.
Wardrobe Organisation London
We offer a full wardrobe organiser service which involves culling/ decluttering (if you wish) and organising your wardrobe from top to bottom. Some clients prefer us to simply come in and organise without the decluttering service and we will advise as we go as to whether it may be useful to buy any additional storage or to tweak what you have.
Sometimes adding a couple of extra shelves or even moving the ones you currently have can make a huge difference to the space you have and its overall efficiency.
Please refer to our professional wardrobe organising page for more detail, testimonials and FAQs
Paperwork Decluttering London
Paperwork clutter can often be at the core of home chaos. Getting it sorted once and for all really does feel energising and having everything in order means you gain control again of your admin and action / to-do list.
If your system is too complicated or involves too many steps to get things filed then it is unlikely it can be easily maintained.
Please see the paperwork page to see the video I made about my chosen method. For nearly 15 years now I have implemented this and my clients love it (and I use in my own home too).
Home Styling Services London
People don’t always want a full organising and decluttering service. For many clients, I provide an hourly service, helping them to work out what storage they need to add to their home in order to make it work more practically as well as looking great.
This is not an interior design service. It is solely about the visual layout and practical solutions which can enhance the home.
- Helping with the design of bespoke furniture/ wardrobes
- Organising a member of the ‘You Need A PA‘ team to be onsite for visits, deliveries and any admin involved
We will take an initial set fee for consultation and research, and any further work will be discussed on an individual basis and charged by the hour.
Our London home styling service may often start with a declutter if needed, but this is something that can be discussed within the consultation. What’s the point in buying or building furniture to store items that you don’t want/need anymore anyway?
Family Professional Decluttering Services London
Children grow so fast that keeping on top of their belongings is important – or before you know it, you’ll have rooms full of unused and discarded toys and clothes.

- Setting up the nursery and organising clothes

- Sorting through old clothes and toys
- Organising playrooms
- Creating memory boxes for sentimental items
- Setting up systems for saving baby clothes for the future
Start the positive process towards getting your home decluttered and organised by filling in our enquiry form below. We are a very versatile team, so please feel free to ask if there are any additional services not listed that you would be interested in.
How much does it cost to declutter a house?
Every home is completely unique and every client works very differently. One client may have 5000 items in a room and another 500, therefore, our services are completely unique to the individual and the home, which I’m sure you’ll agree makes total sense.
What does decluttering do for you?
I believe it gives you a better sense of clarity, gives you more head space and the ability to think more clearly. With less visual distraction productivity levels can increase and there have even been studies which show concentration levels improving.
How can I declutter my house quickly?
To do a proper job takes far longer than just a tidy round. Our decluttering services mean nothing is overlooked and everything is pulled out and gone through. This way the clutter is less likely to return. Far less likely than just a surface clean.
How do you declutter when overwhelmed?
It’s a very hard process to start when you are overwhelmed, however, the best approach is to stop looking at the process of decluttering as one huge task. It doesn’t have to be. You don’t need to do everything in one go. In fact, you are more likely to put it off for longer if you think of it in its entirety. Give yourself a break and start working on a small cupboard, a drawer or a corner of the room.
The best way if you are feeling overwhelmed is to pull the contents out, work on it, complete that small area and then stop. Only start what you can finish. Every tiny area you accomplish will still give you a great buzz and if you finish on a high you will be more likely to revisit your next area the next day or couple of days later. You’ll be on a roll.
Should I clean or declutter first?
This is hard to answer as every home is different. Some people may want to clean as they go which can work well. You certainly don’t ever want to give something a home before giving it a refresh and clean first.
What should I get rid of when decluttering?
This is totally individual to each person. There are no set rules. You may have read about rules of decluttering and that works for some people (one thing a day or when is the last time you’ve used it etc…) but others prefer to simply say as they hold something in their hands or look at something – ‘Can I live without this?’
If you are looking to live with less it’s a pretty powerful question which I have found works wonders.
Information on hoarders:
When clutter gets out of hand and becomes a hoard, specialised care and support may be needed to help people overcome this debilitating problem. Whilst we don’t currently work with hoarders, do check out the www.helpforhoarders.co.uk website which gives all sorts of useful information about hoarding, including where to find self-help support groups across the country, a list of professional organisers who work with hoarders, and a forum for people who want to share their experiences online.
