You Need A… Guestbed?

Posted by Vicky Silverthorn on 25th January 2015 (updated: 6th February 2020)

All of my recommendations in this blog post are my own opinion. I’ve not been paid to mention any of these brands or products, and I’ll receive no financial payment from you clicking any of the links.

I live in a two bedroom flat which I love. A place I am proud to call home.

My flat also doubles up as a little guesthouse and sanctuary for my friends who have children. A place to escape to at weekends. I love this.

I love a big sleepover but like my guests to be comfortable at the same time. We aren’t 13 anymore and duvets, pillows and whatever stray cushions we can find won’t suffice as a comfortable sleeping place.

I need to create space for heads to lay comfortably.

The solutions I could see? My ideas lately have been anything from buying a sofa bed (there are some fantastic single and double options out there) to putting two singles beds in my spare room.

Or how about:

-A single daybed with a pull out single bed too?

-Perhaps two single beds that store on top of each other?

These stackable single beds from Loaf are lovely, visit their website for details

-A single sofa bed chair?

Available from and available in many colours.

-Suddenly a stroke of genius – something I had never seen but hoped existed.

A quick google of ‘double beds with a single pull out bed’ bought me to just one that I could find.

The ‘Contour Miracoil Memory Guest Bed’ made by Silent Night and found on Carpet Right online.

This is the one! Of course, if they bring their children then it’s perfect too…

Priced currently at £599.27 for a single and £786.71 for a kingsize I think this is the solution- exactly what I am looking for!
