How & Why You Need a Vicky

Blog1 – How and Why…’You Need A Vicky’

Nowadays it seems to be that being ‘stressed’ is the norm.  Juggling work, home and family, taking on too much, is just simply how it is.  We find ourselves consulting our diary even to have a coffee with a friend.  We have no space in our minds anymore to ‘simply be’.
In my opinion this should not be the norm.  For me this is not welcome in my life and I have made a lot of changes recently to help.

Technology can assist us of course in our day to day lives, but again I find it complicates it too. I want to write a shopping list on pen and paper not talk to a mobile phone so it can remind me. Keep things simple I say – enjoy the simplicity. With too much technology, comes too much complication. More things to go wrong, more things to fix, more things taking up ‘me’ time.

Our homes should be where it starts when it comes to de-stressing and clearing your mind. If our homes are organised then we are more likely to start the day productively – to start as we mean to go on.  In turn we are more likely to continue this feeling until we arrive home again. So with this area of life being neglected, it is no wonder that we start the day stressed and arrive home, of course – stressed!

I set up my business ‘You Need A Vicky’ a year ago and I am increasingly in demand!
In fact my client list is growing by the day. It includes all sorts from celebrities to sports stars, working mums to businessmen – ordinary people stressed out and overwhelmed! People just do not have time to add something else onto their endless list of things to do.  Work frequently comes first and quite rightly so does family time. So ‘things’ build up.
Wardrobes bulge with unused items, paperwork piles up around the home, house moves are a headache and spare rooms turn into general dumping grounds. Put simply clutter takes over!

People hire me and my team as and when they need me, at a time to suit them.  This may be for an ad hoc day or week, or on a regular basis…whenever they need us. And it works well. We take the stress away, we create calm and we introduce practical organisation in homes.

I will be adding a blog every few weeks or so with tips on how to keep yourselves organised at home. Simple and obvious sometimes, but advice that makes sense.

I would love to hear your feedback and what you think of my blog.
