How To Clean Your Home Safely

Posted by Vicky Silverthorn on 19th August 2016 (updated: 20th July 2020)

All of my recommendations in this blog post are my own opinion. I’ve not been paid to mention any of these brands or products, and I’ll receive no financial payment from you clicking any of the links.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love natural products. There is a myth that natural cleaning products don’t work as well as chemical-filled ones.

If you clean your bath/shower with bleach and then dunk your children in it at bath time you can only imagine the chemicals that will transfer to their skin. Or how about your floors that frequently get cleaned with nasty chemicals just for your children to crawl around? The transfer from chemicals to skin, to mouth, to face is unavoidable – life is so busy, we sometimes just don’t have time to think about it like this!

You can now buy Method products in most supermarkets but to get the full range, you can order directly from their website.

Refills

Method sell three large refill pouches for their hand soap, laundry detergent and washing-up liquid, all of which I buy. A large number of my clients will be pleased to know that these are available when you do your Ocado shop, so why not switch straight away!

What I think you don’t know about Method

  • They use cutting-edge green chemistry.
  • All of their products and packaging are recyclable.
  • Method’s entire product line is safe for use around pets and is specially formulated to put the hurt on dirt without harming your furry friends.
  • Method are working towards theĀ ultimate goal of zero-waste manufacturing and encourage all of their suppliers to do the same
